We are NOT in communion with the See of Canterbury or the American Episcopal Church:

Just to be Clear. We believe in:

Anglican / Epsicopal Worship:

As Anglicans and Episcopalians, we worship God using the Book of Common Prayer and the Authorized Version of the Bibles for worship services. At the Chapel we use the American 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the New Kings James Version of the Bible. We are led by Bishops who trace their Apostolic Succession through the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ and enjoy the same Episcopal Succession as the See of Canterbury and the American Episcopal Church.

Who We Are:

We are an Evangelical Anglican Catholic Chapel in the Anglican Order of Saint Patrick (O.S.P.) and are a house in the Order, following in the Benedictine way of prayer. We are under the authority of the Anglican Order of St. Patrick whose Episcopal Visitor is the Archbishop of the United Episcopal Church of North America. Shenandoh Mountain Anglican Chapel is not a cloister order, but a missional order. We follow the Irish monastic movement of going out to the people, to bring the gospel message and to plant churches. We are a Private Chapel, but do allow people to attend on Sundays and worship with us or at other times of the year.

We are zealous in our efforts to advance the Kingdom of God and Our Savior by maintaining personal devotions daily; providing Christian education for our members; seeking the salvation of family and acquaintances; living above reproach in the world; being just in our dealings, faithful in our commitments and exemplary in our actions.

We are dedicated , by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this chapel, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, sacraments, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel to all peoples through all nations.

We believe in the heart of the Celtic monastic movement to take the church to the people and to plant churches focused on Christ centered worship. We will watch over one another in brotherly love; remember one another in prayer; aid one another in sickness and distress, cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech; be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation without delay.
